A year-long transformative journey of mentorship, career guidance, and talent nurturing
WHAT IS THE MENTORSHIP FESTIVAL?
The Mentorship Festival is a year-long, comprehensive mentorship and career guidance program designed for Form Four leavers. It’s a journey of discovery, guidance, and growth aimed at helping young people make informed decisions about their future careers and career paths.
The journey begins with a 2-month orientation programme offering a broad overview to help mentees get acclimated. This phase culminates in a national summit, a flagship event that brings together the entire education sector and support systems to officially launch the cohort into the career market.
Following the summit, mentees embark on a 10-month specialised course tailored to each career path, ensuring that everyone can step confidently into their chosen profession.
Behind the scenes, the festival fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing between parents, teachers, schools, professionals, educators, employers, and other partners—making the program responsive to real-world needs and opportunities. Together, we create an enriching experience to set every mentee on the path to success.
One thing is clear: every Form Four leaver in Kenya needs structured and ongoing mentorship. This is essential for all students, whether they are pursuing traditional careers, creative industries, or vocational education. Equally important is the active involvement of parents, teachers, professionals, and educators to build a strong, lasting support system. MENTORSHIP SHOWCASES INSIGHTS
2024 Form Four Leavers Summit
The 2024 Form Four Leavers Mentorship Summit will take place from 25th to 27th February 2025. Join us in person at the University of Nairobi or attend virtually from anywhere.
Physical Attendance
Location: University of Nairobi, Main Campus
Cost: KES 10,500 per student (excludes transport and accommodation)
Benefits: Full access to mentorship sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities with peers and mentors.
Virtual Attendance
Cost: KES 650 per student
Benefits: Participate online with full access to mentorship sessions and workshops from the comfort of your home.
Requirements: reliable internet and a device with a screen to join the event.
Note to Mentees: If you don’t have internet or equipment at home, check if there is a hosted watch party near you.
Note to Parents, Community Leaders, and Organisations: We encourage you to host watch parties for Form Four leavers. This shared experience fosters focus, engagement, and community spirit.
